Mommy: Do you need to go potty?? C'mon, quick, lets go on the potty!
KP: No, I just want to go in the family room. It's more fun.

Side note: About two weeks later, he was going on the potty 85% of the time! Now he's going 99% of the time. :)

We had just moved and Jonas was installing a new double wall oven. It is extremely heavy and he dropped it and got two very huge gashes in his leg. Every time you ask Keegan what happened to his leg, this is his response.

KP: Mommy hit Daddy with her car!

Side note: Every once in a while, we will get "Daddy got bit by a shark" and "Daddy got hit by a train."

August 2011

Age: 2 years, 11 months.

Keegan and I were fantasizing about where Jonas could be, who had just went out to the garage. It was storming pretty bad outside.

Mommy: What if the storm took him up to the sky?
KP: Then I will go out there and let it take me up to the sky and save him!
Mommy: Oh no, don't do that! You might get hurt!
KP: Okay, then I will learn how to fly like a bird first!
Mommy: That's good, that would be so much fun. What if Daddy doesn't come back?
KP: Oh no, did he get hit by a train again?
Mommy: Again? You're so silly. No he's in the storm! The lightning got him! Ohhhh nooo.
KP: (cones his hands together and whispers) No Mommy, he's just in his car in the garage. (back to normal voice) Maybe we should go save him together!

Keegan was walking around on his tippy toes randomly.

Mommy: Why are you walking around on your tippy toes, Keegan?
KP: Because I'm too busy to walk normal!

This was later the same day he had the conversation with neighbor Jim. His wife Linda was in the backyard the same time Jonas and Keegan was playing in the back. She walked over to the fence to talk to Keegan.

Linda: Hi Keegan! What are you doing?
KP: I'm playing with my Daddy!
Linda: Oh I bet you're having so much fun! Tell me, what is your favorite kind of cookie??
KP: (giggles) No, I'm not a cookie, I'm just Keegan!

August 2011

I was out front cleaning out my flower beds at the same time our neighbor Jim was out watering his lawn. Keegan then came out and I told him to go say hi to Mr. Jim.

KP: Hi Mr. Jim!
Jim: Well good morning!
KP: How are you?
Jim: I'm doing well, are you Keegan??
KP: I'm just a boy trying to help my Mommy.

July 2011

KP: Turn the fan on, the bugs are getting me!

Side note: We have no idea why he says that. He says it nearly every day though when he notices that fan isn't on. It's not because he's hot... it's because the bugs are getting him.. ?? Haha

We had just woken up in the morning and I was behind him as we were walking into the kitchen.

Mommy: GRR!! I'm a mad dinosaur, and I'm going to eat you!!
KP: (turns around to face me) No Mommy! Don't eat me! (turns back around to walk away, and mutters slightly under his breath) Don't even think about it!

December 2010

I was watching a very touching story on Good Morning America and Keegan grew increasingly concerned at the tears in my eyes. He grabbed my arm and watched the remainder of the clip with me. Once it ended, he turned to me.

KP: Look Mommy. It's all done now! Please don't cry.

Okay. This isn't really that funny, but oh my goodness, he is a sweetie.

Jonas and I were having a tickle fight, and I was winning.

Daddy: Keegan, quick! We need to call the police!

Daddy: What time is it?
KP: T-shirt time!

Side note: "T-shirt time" is an infamous saying from MTVs "Jersey Shore". Sad, I know.

January 2011

Age: 2 years, 4 months

It took Keegan a few months to warm up to there being a new baby in the house. Lila was about six months old when he said this.

KP: Mommy, Lila's awake! (he then got a very concerned look on his face) Oh Mommy, we should go get her. She wants her big brother! And she wants her brother to have a kaba!

Side note: "Kaba" is chocolate milk in German.

November 2010

We had some Mormon missionaries over chatting with us, while Keegan was playing in the same room with a little toy. He managed to throw the toy up onto the piano, beyond his reach.

KP: Damnit!

Side note: Yes, the missionaries DID hear him, but luckily they laughed it off and didn't make a big deal of it!

March 2011

I took Keegan and Delilah to Keegan's new school to register him for the fall.

Mommy: Okay Keegan. Now you have to be a really good boy and be so so so nice because we want them to like us, okay?
KP: Okay, okay. I don't want to say shit.

March 2011

This is just a general saying he used to say to everyone and everything. Now, it's definitely not a nice thing, but, as much as we hid it, it was kind of comical.

KP: You're freaking fat!

February 2011

Paul: Are you a good boy, Keegan?
KP: No, I'm not... I'm trouble!
